Education Is A Top Priority

Epilogos scholarship recipients

Providing student education is a top priority for Epilogos Charities, Inc. We believe that the best way to combat violence and poverty is to enable all students access to quality education.

Computer and Science Labs

Epilogos is working to bring schools "into the present" by funding state-of-the-art computer systems and classrooms.

And, 1500 students now have access to a science lab.

Library

Before Epilogos there was no library available to students. Now 1200 students and teachers have access to hundreds of books and educational CDs in a new internal lending library.

cultural exchange - San Jose Villanueva and Strongsville, OH

Connecting Cultures and Communities

Local teachers are learning new classroom skills in a teacher exchange program with a group of dedicated volunteers from Ohio. Teachers and school principals from San José Villanueva and the Cleveland, Ohio area have participated in cultural exchange visits in the U.S. and El Salvador.

Gymnasium

In partnership with the Army Corps of New Hampshire and the American Embassy in El Salvador,  "Salon Jenkins" was built in the center of San José Villanueva. This large gymnasium is used for many community events, as well as being the school gym. It serves as a place for the youth of the community to gather to exercise and play.

School Courtyard Roofs

Epilogos has collaborated with community and international  groups, and the mayor to build courtyard roofs at several schools. This allows access to the courtyards when it is extremely hot or raining.

Opportunities for Special Needs Students

Epilogos is proud to announce that we now provide scholarships to students with disabilities who were not previously able to attend school due to the level of support required. Scholarships fund the school tuition, special education teachers and any student specific supports required (i.e., transportation and learning materials).
